Prefab Stands Up to Extreme Weather – Week’nder

Prefab homes have always had their critics. There are some who believe that such homes or buildings aren’t as good as those traditionally built. One of the chief complaints is that prefab construction can’t stand up to inclement weather.

While this is true in some cases, it’s not in all cases. The Week’nder (lots of images and more information provided at that link) home (prefabricated) made by Flat Pak Studio is able to withstand extreme weather, including both hot and cold temperatures.

The Week’nder can withstand winds up to 160 mph (miles per hour). In addition to withstanding powerful winds, the homes can also safely be used in places in areas that are seismically active.
