Everywhere, people are doing their part. Recently, various industries have opted to do the same. Numerous industries are making an effort to limit their carbon footprint and prevent waste.

One way the real estate market it doing their part is via green, prefabricated homes. These types of homes create less waste, require less man power and in some cases, fewer materials. This bodes well for the environment.

Because of the aforementioned, an increasing number of environmentally conscious individuals are turning to prefab homes.

These types of homes provide shelter but in a way that is far less taxing on the environment than traditionally built homes, making them a good option for people who want to minimize their negative effect on the environment in everything that they do.

There were pretty unattractive and very simple. Since then, there has been a tremendous amount of changes. The architecture and design is very advanced.

The more advanced prefab homes will cost more than those more simplistic in design and style. In fact, some prefab homes are pretty expensive.

While these types of homes are typically less expensive in some cases, they aren’t all the time. It will depend on the particular home, how complicated the design is and what amenities are included.

This demographic is discovering that these homes offer benefits, which aren’t as readily available in traditionally built or pre-owned homes.

Prefabricated houses tend to be cheaper. They are also built to be environmentally friendly, cost and energy efficient.

Today, prefab homes can be built to look like traditional homes. These aren’t the prefab homes of old. Instead they are modern-looking, attractive and with all the amenities homeowners have come to expect and enjoy.

It is also possible to purchase a customized, prefab home. Individuals can have the home built to their specifications.

Blu Homes is making available an advanced technology, sure to change the face of prefab homes. Blu home’s 3-D technology gives customers the chance to design their own homes.

Once they have done so, the corresponding 3-D plans are sent to Blu Homes. Blu Homes will then send the plans to the factory, where construction begins.

The 3-D technology makes it easy for people to design their very own homes and have them built to their specifications. The process is streamlined and extremely efficient.

The time lapse between when the plans are created and Blu orders the parts and factory assembly, is minimal. You can check out a recent article in JetsonGreen.com for more details, as well as architectural renderings.

The kit home has just been updated, in a major way, as discussed in an article recently in the Wall Street Journal. Kit homes were at one time sold via Sears’ catalogs.

A Mr. Charlie Kamps of Pennsylvania is making his very own contribution to the kit home. Kamp’s kit homes are environmentally friendly and easy to install.

However, they can’t be purchased by consumers. Instead, they are sold to builders who sell them to customers.

Kit homes are a type of prefab homes, and can be assembled pretty quickly, faster than most traditionally built homes. They are also less expensive.

Some kit homes cost approximately half or what it would cost to build a traditional home per square foot. The home’s assembly and reduced price make it a pretty attractive option.

A Salem-based company, Ideabox, will be creating a neighborhood made up of mini homes, per a recent article at RegisterGuard.com.

There will be five in all. They will range in size between 600 and 750 square feet. In addition to being small, the homes will also be prefab and green.

These types of prefabricated homes are growing in popularity with the younger, environmentally conscious set. They are less concerned about large homes and the obvious trappings of wealth and more about the environment.

The same is true for older adults near retirement age. The recent downturn in the economy has also makes smaller homes more attractive because of their affordability.

The prefab market is steadily growing, along the way dis-spelling preconceptions about the quality and design of prefab homes. There have been great strides in both regards.

Luis Abdeljalke, who works for Geo as the head of real estate, explains that the company is looking to build homes throughout Latin America using its ALPHA prefab construction technology.

This is an interesting development though not surprising, as prefab homes are growing in popularity. They are typically cheaper than traditional homes, easy to build and have a number of built-in green technologies.

Prefabricated homes are becoming increasing popular. The ease in which they can be built, their environmentally friendliness and construction speed are just a few of their benefits.

Michael Morgan’s Critical Response Networks’ company is working alongside FEMA to build homes in areas destroyed by natural disasters, including those that were wiped out by Hurricane Katrina.

Morgan’s companies build unique prefab homes made from advanced technology utilizing straw (rice or wheat grain). The straw is heated to high temperatures, up to 400 degrees.

It is then compressed and made into four-foot panels. These panels are used to build prefabricated homes. This seldom-used technology is both innovative and environmentally friendly.

Bamboo is beginning to be used with increased frequency in prefab homes.

There are ton of benefits associated with its use.

It offers a quality alternative to plywood.

It stands up well to areas that are prone to natural disaster, such as quake zones.

Bamboo also tolerates extreme geographical and weather.

Bamboo can also be used to build home and buildings in areas that don’t qualify as the aforementioned.

Individuals that need a home and/or building built quickly will find that bamboo is one of the best materials to use.
